WHTJ Charlottesville PBS and the
Community Idea Stations rely on dedicated people to undertake a
variety of duties. Your support ultimately allows us to broadcast
quality television and radio programs here in Charlottesville.
Becoming a member of our volunteer family is a great way to show
your support for public broadcasting and all the quality programming
we offer. You really can make a difference!

Drives (Individuals)
Membership
campaigns for television are WHTJ’s most visible fundraising efforts. Pledge volunteers
help us by answering phones, tallying the numbers of pledges received
or supervising the volunteer effort.
Membership
Drives (Groups)
Many companies and civic organizations enjoy putting together
a team for membership drives. They visit as a group
to answer phones, for which they will receive on-air recognition for their efforts.
That recognition may include verbal acknowledgment, shots of volunteers
on camera, and/or on-air display of the group’s name.
